Stream Lead – Local Commons @ Sustainable Development Together
Sustainable Development Together is a volunteer-driven initiative helping people engage with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through volunteering, collaboration, and digital participation tools.
We are looking for interested volunteers to join our team.
Activities:
- Develop the program “Local Commons”
- Explore and connect local initiatives, networks, and grassroots efforts to shape local commons hubs
- Lead initiatives focused on local commons and shared resources (e.g. community spaces, knowledge, or projects)
- Help make local collaboration and shared action more visible and accessible
Ideal Fit:
- Interest in community building, sustainability, and local engagement
- Communication & organisation skills
- Motivation to strengthen collaboration in local communities
- Self-driven and reliable

In 2015 the member states of the United Nations adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
This agenda lays out goals for shared prosperity and work to be done on the looming challenges humanity is facing.
At Sustainable Development Together, we believe that everyone should have the opportunity to easily participate in actions on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). We created this platform as a place to facilitate such action.
Our organization helps volunteers to find projects where their effort can actually have an impact on the SDGs.
We further help other organizations in designing and finding volunteers for their projects to effectively advance their agendas to strengthen impact on the SDGs.
Sustainable Development Together also actively promotes SDG volunteering with all stakeholders to foster an environment where new, more and more effective SDG volunteering activities become available over time.
